Complaints and Appeals:
Complaints against an Approved Provider should first be filed in writing with the Approved Provider directly for resolution. If satisfaction is not obtained, APT’s Continuing Education Coordinator should be contacted in writing to achieve a final resolution.
Transportation:
There are two major airports in the Northern Virginia area:Ronald Reagan National Airport and Dulles Airport. Ronald Reagan is approximately 30 minutes from the host site and Dulles airport is about the same distance. All trainings will be held in the Vienna, Virginia area.
Lodging:
We are happy to refer our workshop participants to the Homewood Suites by Hilton, located about 5 minutes from our offices. There is a swimming pool and a nice dining area and courtyard. The rooms are all suites with a kitchen area. Our favorite is the shuttle to and from Starbright and the Metro. The hotel is walking distance to the Silver Diner.
Cancellation Policy:
Please be mindful that we offer very small trainings and make decisions about holding workshops based on registration. Faculty often cancel clients in order to be available to teach workshops thus our registration policy is that refunds will be made only if requested in writing. A 75% refund will be provided to registrants who send a cancellation notice postmarked no later than TWO WEEKS prior to the workshop. Please note that you are also able to transfer your registration to another available workshop.
In cases of extreme emergency, you may be eligible to transfer your registration and/or receive a 75% refund. Extreme emergencies include death or sudden illness, or catastrophic environmental situations, and must include verification.
Starbright Institute is not responsible for any expenses incurred by registrants if a training course is canceled.
